Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s magnificent 34-room summer home is the centrepiece of Roosevelt Campobello International Park, but there is much more to see, explore, and do for every member of the family in our 2,800-acre Natural Area and restored “historic core” of summer cottages! Our interpretive staff are energizing and greeting every guest with expert-level knowledge and warm island hospitality.
These programs take place daily from the Park opening in Late-May until the Park closing in October.

Hubbard Cottage

Designed by Gorham Hubbard, a successful Boston insurance broker, the Hubbard Cottage was built in 1892. Sumptuously appointed and featuring a magnificent picture window, Hubbard Cottage is a wonderful example of “rusticator” living on Campobello Island.

Hubbard Cottage is open daily for self-guided tours during Park open hours.

Prince Cottage.jpg

Prince Cottage

Prince Cottage was built in the late 19th century for Lawrence Prince, a cotton broker from St. Louis.

Prince Cottage is now the home of our on-site Café, the Prince Café, which welcomes guests to enjoy light lunch and refreshments in the airy dining room and beautiful verandah overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay and Eastport, Maine.

Wells Shober cottage.jpg

Wells-Shober Cottage

Built in the late 19th century for Samuel Wells, a Boston-area lawyer and president of the Campobello Company. This cottage was acquired in 1912 by the Shober family of Philadelphia.

Wells-Shober Cottage hosts “Eleanor’s Tea”, as well as other daily programs.
