Getting Here By Land

Campobello Island is connected to the mainland United States by the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Bridge in Lubec, Maine.

Getting Here By Ferry

During the summer season (typically June to September), access to Campobello Island is also available by car ferry from Deer Island, New Brunswick (via L’Etete, NB - Deer Island car ferry).

Crossing the Border

Campobello Island is located in the province of New Brunswick, Canada, and if traveling via the FDR International Bridge from Lubec, Maine, it is necessary to cross Canada Customs on the bridge. On returning to the United States, you must pass through U.S. Customs.

Both Canada and the United States have specific requirements for who can and cannot enter and the type of travel documents required. Please be sure you have the correct travel documentation before traveling! More information can be found from the Canadian Border Services Agency and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Non-essential travel is currently permitted through the Canada-U.S. border, including at the Campobello-Lubec border crossing.
